Aromatherapy is much more than mixing and matching a few bottles of distilled water, fancy essential oils, alcohol and some other substances whereby professional Spa practitioners can charge exorbitant fees from their clients. While many spa and other health/wellness treatments do incorporate the usage of aromatherapy body spray recipes as an add-on service, it is a complete science in itself which offers numerous health benefits against health disorders which include but are not restricted to:
- Depression
- Fatigue
- Fibromyalgia
- Sinusitis
- Menstrual cramps
- Skin problems
- Insomnia
- Sexual problems
Sense of smell- A grossly neglected concept
The human body’s olfactory system has been intricately designed to help us distinguish between as many as 100,000 kinds of smell. Each fragrance traverses through the various olfactory nerves and finally reaches brain parts responsible for regulating our memory, creativity, happiness and moods.
Thus, we can alter our state of mind and stimulate our creative inputs by inhaling certain kinds of scents at a given point in time.
Make aromatherapy body spray at home
Making aromatherapy body spray recipes at home is not only possible, it is also expedient because buying quality products from elsewhere can be a fairly expensive proposition.
Also, if you buy body natural, organic sprays from stores/resorts/five start hotels, you would be left with no choice but to use them out without experimenting it to find out if it’s actually something that you find therapeutic.
In contrast, you can uplift your mood at your very own home by preparing a best smelling body spray using easily available ingredients, oils, herbs, best vegetables for skin care and other substance, that too within a few minutes.
Before purchasing essential oils for this purpose, do keep the following things in mind:
- Good quality essential oils bottles are usually packaged in blue or black bottles to prevent damage from light and heat. See if you’re able to make out their botanical names as well.
- Ensure that you buy essential oils from a specialty store only to ensure good quality especially if you’re aiming for body spray base alcohol free.
- Don’t buy oils that feature eyedroppers made from rubber because the latter can pollute the oil.
